Haivision 4K and Multi-HD HEVC Video Encoding and IP Distribution Stream 12G/3G SDI Over the Public Internet and Cellular

At the 2019 NAB Show, VidOvation will demonstrate the Emmy Award-winning Haivision HE4000 4K Ultra HD (UHD) HEVC live encoder, which relies on the public internet to contribute and distribute video, thereby helping to eliminate high satellite costs. The HE4000 is ideal for real-time delivery of live UHD or HD content over unmanaged IP networks. The compact, half-RU encoder combines 10-bit and 4:2:2 HEVC encoding with the latest generation of Haivision SafeStreams® technology to deliver live video content over IP at low latencies and bit rates. At the show, visitors will see the HE4000 in action with the latest version of Haivision’s StreamHub transceiver and decoder platform, which offers integrated 4K UHD HEVC recording and decoding functions.

Users can achieve state-of-the-art 4K and multi-HD HEVC video encoding and IP distribution over cellular networks by combining the HE4000 with Haivision’s QUAD CellLink active antenna, which has four internal cellular modems featuring a high-efficiency, wideband antenna array. Two QUAD CellLink active external wideband cellular antennas can be plugged into the HE4000’s USB ports for transmission over bonded cellular networks. The QUAD CellLink offers added cellular connectivity to the entire Haivision product line.

ABonAir Wireless Links New One-of-a-Kind Ultra-Low-Latency

Wireless video link provider ABonAir is renowned for providing extremely low latency in a long-range, high-performance, broadcast-grade wireless system, and VidOvation now represents ABonAir’s products in the United States. ABonAir’s one-of-a-kind solution will benefit VidOvation’s customers in the sports, live events, and newsgathering spaces, where the lowest possible delay is mandatory, while preserving high video quality.

At NAB, VidOvation will demonstrate ABonAir’s flagship wireless video link — AB512™. Built on a bidirectional radio channel between transmitter and receiver, ABonAir’s wireless video links acknowledge the correct acceptance of each group of pixels, thus providing exceptionally robust and reliable transmission.

Most notably, the AB512 system reduces latency to only a 7-millisecond delay (also known as subframe delay) for live event coverage, multicamera productions, and any other application in which latency of two to six frames or 30-90 milliseconds is unacceptable. Low delay enables crews to produce multicamera and live shows without worrying about the lag caused by lip sync or the simultaneous operation of multiple cameras. The system features an RF spectrum analyzer that automatically selects and hops to the best RF channel without dropping a single bit, while the manual channel selection option is ideal for frequency coordination at large events.

ABonAir Wireless Camera Link with Return Video & Teleprompter received a nomination for the 2019 NAB Product of the Year Award

ABonAir will unveil the FIRST EVER truly integrated wireless camera link with a teleprompter and return video capabilities. ABonAir’s complete wireless video solution offers a single link that incorporates wireless program video, teleprompter, video return, CCU and Intercom.  The new system relies on ABonAir’s bidirectional radio technology allowing the cameraman to receive from the control room a wireless link of video, data, and teleprompter. The cameraman on-site can be in full sync with the media center and view the live program feed. The new teleprompter retune video feature is especially important for tier-1 multi-camera productions and until now was unavailable. Demonstrations of ABonAir’s Teleprompter and Video Return system are available by pre-scheduled meetings.

ABonAir wireless camera link with Extended transmission range

ABonAir is pushing the envelope again with a point-to-point wireless video link with a fantastic transmission distance of up to 10 miles / 16 km. Broadcast quality video is preserved at this distance without losing a single pixel!  At NAB 2019, we will unveil the technology behind this achievement.

ABonAir Lightweight & Affordable Wireless Link with 7 msec Latency

The wireless transmitter and receiver, each weighing less than a pound are ideal for drone and mobile application where a small and lightweight footprint is needed.  The ABonFreaturing zero set-up time and a coverage distance of up to 750 meters / 2500 ft, bi-directional radio with ARQ per pixel acknowledgment, upgradeable 7 msec sub-frame delay at broadcast quality. No doubt, ABonAir’s AB405 system sets a new benchmark in the Broadcast wireless industry!

VidOvation TV, Enterprise IPTV & Digital Signage System with 138 Channels of DirecTV using COM3000 nominated for the 2019 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards

VidOvation is honored to be one of the first nominees’ for the 2019 NAB Show Product of the Year Award.  New for the 2019 NAB Show is VidOvation TV, a turn-key enterprise IPTV and digital signage system that now includes full integration of DirecTV content. The integration enables an end-to-end IPTV system that

been designed specifically for hotels and enterprise installations where there is a need for a single-wire solution for multiple displays. The COM3000 system offers up to 138 tuners in a scalable system that takes up a small space in an equipment rack. It creates a head-end system in which every TV can be tuned to its own channel without interfering with other TVs.

The VidOvation TV system increases the number of available DirecTV channels from 48 to 138.  It is one of the only systems on the market that supports Verimatrix and Pro:Idiom encryption now required by every cable and satellite operator including, Comcast, DirecTV, Dish Network and more.  The VidOvation TV system can distribute virtually any video and television sources from DirecTV, Satellite, Cable, Studio Feeds, In-house Feeds, Media Players and Third-Party Digital Signage.  The VidOvation TV Digital Signage feature provides users with a feature-rich Digital Signage capability and experience including L-bar, multi-zone with live video, emergency alerts and more.

There is a need for IPTV and Digital Signage Systems that support the industry-approved Verimatrix and Pro:Idiom encryption and Digital Rights Management (DRM) standards  There are many systems on the market that circumvent the Digital Rights Management and encryption required by the Studios, Cable and Satellite operators.  One solution is the use of hundreds of thousands of dollars of encoders. In addition to the added expense, the live television quality is degraded by re-encoding the signal for a second time.  The VidOvation TV approach saves $50K to $350K on the cost of encoders. Save 50-70 Rack Units of space. Save on HVAC costs. Save on electricity costs.   Other vendors provide a proprietary form of encryption which may not be approved by all the Studios, DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast, cable operators and more.
The VidOvation TV meets this industry need by providing an Enterprise IPTV and Digital Signage System with native support for Verimatrix and Pro:Idiom DRM.
