Haivision and Grabyo Forge a Game-Changing Partnership for Live Multi-Camera Cloud Production at SATIS 2023
Paris, France (SATIS 2023) – November 15, 2023 – Haivision (TSX: HAI), a global leader in mission-critical, real-time video networking and visual collaboration solutions, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Grabyo, unveiling an integrated solution that transforms live multi-camera cloud production.
In this collaboration showcased at SATIS 2023, Haivision’s video contribution solutions seamlessly stream synchronized ultra-low latency video to the Grabyo cloud production platform. The integration combines Grabyo’s cloud production platform with Haivision’s cutting-edge Makito X4 video encoders and Pro and Air mobile video transmitters. This dynamic duo ensures ultra-low latency contribution streams, fostering unparalleled collaboration between production teams and on-site operators.
Haivision’s comprehensive range of live video contribution devices allows for streaming sub-second latency feeds over both public and private networks. These feeds are directed to Grabyo Producer for frame-accurate synchronization, camera switching, instant replay, SCTE-35 ad insertion, and multi-track audio mixing with high-fidelity SRT output. The fully distributed and cloud-native platform enables production teams to collaborate seamlessly in real time from any location.
Extending workflows back to the studio is made possible by incorporating Makito X4 video decoders. This integration allows for displaying low-latency SRT streams from the Grabyo cloud platform to SDI-based production monitors, enhancing the overall production experience.
Gareth Capon, CEO of Grabyo, emphasized the reliability and flexibility of this partnership, providing a streamlined live contribution and production workflow that is both flexible and infinitely scalable in the cloud. The shared mission of Haivision and Grabyo is to modernize live production for media organizations worldwide, driven by technical excellence and world-class support.
Peter Maag, Chief Strategy Officer and EVP of Strategic Partnerships at Haivision highlighted the critical role of tight integration with on-site cameras and operators in cloud production. The partnership between Haivision and Grabyo addresses this need, offering a perfect blend of ground-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground low-latency video workflows, combining the highest quality with the lowest latency for both wired and wireless networks.
