HE4000 video encoder supports HEVC compression and is designed to optimize the distribution of SD, HD, and 4K contents over unmanaged networks such as the public internet. Encoder one 4K UHD video signal as 12G-SDI or four HD video signals as 3G-SDI over the Public Internet.
High-Quality HEVC 4K Encoding: The HE4000 implements the best-in-class HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding)/H.265 video encoder. Based on the latest generation of HEVC/H.265 technology the product revolutionizes video coding by delivering the same visual quality as H.264/AVC at 50% of the bitrates with the ability to support SD, HD, and 4K resolutions.

Major News Network Purchases VidOvation solution for Contribution and Distribution of Live News Over Public Internet
LAKE FOREST, Calif. — April, 2019 — VidOvation today announced that a major U.S. news network has made a significant purchase of VidOvation video over IP transport technology. The network will use the Emmy Award-winning HE4000 HEVC live encoder for contribution and distribution of live news content bi-directionally between master control and remote affiliates using the public internet.
“Broadcasters — especially those like our new client, who depends on the ability to backhaul breaking news content from many different field locations and sources — are always looking for better, more efficient ways to contribute and distribute video,” said Jim Jachetta, executive vice president and chief technology officer at VidOvation. “With our HE4000 encoder, this high-profile new customer has embraced the potential of the public internet to help the network distribute live content to its affiliates in a far less costly manner than traditional telecom or satellite connections. The system also provides affiliates with the ability to forward live contributing content to master control. (Click to Read More)

Chris Brown of Turner Sports took attendees of the 2018 SVG Summit behind the scenes of Turner’s productions at the Ryder Cup which sent back more than a dozen IP streams over the Public Internet using the HE4000 HEVC Encoders with SafeStreams Transport and The Match, which deployed an array of next-gen tech and player miking strategies.
Contribution over unmanaged networks: Thanks to patented SafeStreams® technology that implements an intelligent IP bonding stack and powerful contribution network protocols, such as the H-ARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) mechanism, the HE4000 assures the delivery of live video even in the midst of unpredictable and unmanaged network conditions, enabling broadcasters to provide seamless news and sports coverage from any location around the world.
By combining HEVC encoding and SafeStreams® contribution technology, the HE4000 dramatically reduces bandwidth cost while guarantying superior video quality.
Integration with the DMNG ecosystem: The HE4000 HEVC 4K contribution encoder is fully integrated with the DMNG Manager and DMNG StreamHub receiver to simplify system monitoring, management, content reception, and distribution.
Compact platform: The HE4000 features a 1RU 1/2 rack compact design that reduces power costs and space requirements, enabling broadcasters to cost-effectively address the growing consumer demand for superior quality live and on-demand video content.
